I personally hope the social networking does go out of style. I agree with Sheryl – it’s full of spam, and the biggest majority of people are just their to promote themselves.

As far as my blogs, I ping them, bookmark my posts occasionally, comment on other related blogs and link to them from articles. Seems to work pretty well!

Yes social networks are a great way to promote posts, and allowing for comment luv as well. Allowing do follow comments will definitely increase your readership.

Hi Peter, I’m not surprised you are a member of the Warrior Forum. They have over 120,000 members and virtually every successful marketer posts there. I’ve been a member of the Warrior Forum since June 2006 and have only posted four times. How pathetic is that? I’m going to make it a point to start posting there. I just sent you a friend request. I’ll follow your posts a little to see what I can learn if you don’t mind. I need to see what is accepted and what’s not.

Hi Brian,

The first thing after I post, I promote to Warrior Forum to get a linkback and backlink. If I think it’s a good one, I’ll have it inserted in my signature. My next promotion after I post is submit to Propeller. These are the 2 must haves. I don’t digg because a long time ago, I got banned without knowing why. I do lots of blog commenting to promote the posts. I let others stumble my post because stumbling your own post is considered bad.

That’s a fantastic list Kristi! I subscribed to your Friendfeed, StumbleUpon and I think a couple others. I’ve spent an hour going over your methods. I just updated my StumbleUpon which was very outdated.

I haven’t used the group marketing much but I’m going to start again. I’m taking these ideas from friends and making a checklist I can use after each post.
