  • Nice blog, Brian - and yeah, we love EzineArticles.com too, great concept with the mug, generated a very positive response from all involved by the sounds of it ...

  • Hi Steve, EzineArticles.com really has it going on. The mugs, training, support and marketing, we could learn a lot from sites like that. Plus they have managed to stay focused over the years.

  • Hi James, I agree Ezinearticles.com is the #1 article directory. Thanks for sharing that with us. Fifty articles is quite an accomplishment. I like your site and I'm going to look it over in detail later on. Attraction marketing techniques are interesting to me.
  • I've used Ezinearticles.com as an attraction marketing technique for almost a year now and in my opinion it's the #1 article directory available. I do use a few other directories but have found that my articles are listed in the search engines higher with ezinarticles and I receive more referrals from ezinearticles. I have written over 50 articles under 2 different author names and; yes I did get a mug but it broke my heart when it was accidentally left on my car trunk.
Side note: writing good keyword focused articles on any topic is a great way of defining a target market for your business or opportunity.
  • Hi James, I feel bad that you lost your mug. I still have mine and I think it has so much value because it's one of the first times my virtual world broke past the bearer and entered my real world. Either that or it was just a nice gesture and a cool mug lol

  • Hi Hesham, you are being modest. Your writing is top shelf and I'm sure you could give some lessons your self.
  • This is great news Brian, I will be happy to get it. actually I need to learn more about how to write a good article or blog posts.

    Thanks a lot!!

  • Hi Kristi, That's a great article. In fact, I submitted it to Digg yesterday. http://bit.ly/15StWo I signed up for ehow.com a long time ago and never did anything with it. I should make it a point to submit a couple articles.
  • Those training newsletters are certainly valuable. I took my first stab at article writing on eHow with one on how to break out of your comfort zone. Some of the tips for article writing is to give a call for action and solve a problem, and that has definitely been good advice for this particular article.

  • @ Jeet Hi Jeet, writing good titles and a ton of other article marketing tips are for the taking. I'm glad you brought it up.

@Brad Thanks Brad, that's a great tip - Backlinks from EzineArticles' comments. Feel free to leave them on my articles anytime. BTW, thank you for the LinkedIn recommendation :)

@Steve LOL I think a shot glass would be very cool. If we get that next I hope Chris gives you credit ;)
  • hey Brian,
4 years and 19 articles for a mug...
Hmmm, I'm at under 1 year and 6 articles.
Maybe I can get a shot glass. :)
Thanks for the heads up on their blog. I didn't even know they had one. I'll check it out. ~ Steve, the trade show guru

  • I must admit Brian I have never submitted to Ezine Articles. I always thought that keeping the majority if my content on my site so I had control. Not that I have done that allot of my replies and comments are articles by themselves.

I will tell you my experience with Ezine Articles I have left comments on and the comments show up as a backlink, long and strong I still nave most of them showing up. I didn't realize the Google links I had until I started using Google Webmaster Tools. This will give you a new incite on the links that Google has indexed for you. and Ezine Articles is right there even with comments.

So I guess what I'm getting at even to contribute by commenting on articles at Ezine Articles is defiantly a plus
  • Well, I see some really good tips in their emails. The tip about writing good titles that they sent recently prompted me search more and I got a lot of good headlines at copyblogger. The cup is cool, you must have written some really good articles there.
  • Hi DeViLnoAnGeL,

I'm not sure what plans Chris Knight has for future appreciation gifts. When I received my coffee mug in March of 2008 they were sent to U.S. based new Platinum members (I had to look that up - New EzineArticles Mug Mailer).

Just last month (March of 2009) EzineArticles ran a St. Patrick’s Day Promotion where 17 top authors were sent limited-edition EzineArticles Leprechaun mugs to any confirmed postal address around the world.

EzineArticles is in the middle of another cool promotion right now - 100 Articles in 100 Days Marathon Challenge.

The best way to stay on top of things involving EzineArticles is to subscribe to their blog. It's full of great information and I read it regularly.
  • Talking about a gift, i want it that too but i don't can they send it overseas since i live in Indonesia that really really far from US. I wonder will they willing to send me a gift :)

  • thats an awesome cup!

how long have you been subscribed?
  • That sounds like it Steve, Bad Behavior! That's, I've been going nuts trying to find that.

I only have 19 active articles on EzineArticles.com so far. I need to post more there soon. I don't think it mattered how many articles we had. I think they just sent them out to us. I'm not sure what the criteria was. You could always shoot them a tweet at http://twitter.com/EzineArticles I don't guess Chris would mind me giving his Twitter ID: http://twitter.com/ChrisKnight He's a great one to follow if you aren't already.
  • Hi Brian,
    EzineArticles is a great site!
How many articles have you published there, and to you have any idea how many you need to get the coffee mug?
