Akismet is a WordPress plugin that saves me a ton of time sorting out real blog comments and comment spam. Our comment spam was on the rise in the first half of October but hopefully it will level off for a while. Akismet saves me the trouble of getting excited about such increases. With a 99.35% overall accuracy rate, it’s just a simple matter of scanning the ‘Akismet Spam‘ page and deleting all the spam with a single click.
