Just Ask Someone

We’re going to try something new. New, at least, for us. I’m going to call it ‘Just Ask Someone‘. We have setup a special page where visitors can ask a question and/or answer a question.

Selected questions/answers will make it to blog posts and may even be featured on the Extreme Ezine. This is a fantastic way of to get one-way links to your site. So go ahead, Just Ask Someone!

UPDATE: The 800# and audio feature has been removed for now. We’re working on something better.

  • You are most welcome, Brian! In fact, I run multiple micro niche sites. I create one every single week so I should have 52 "create-and-forget" niche sites.

Oh yeah, the voice mail thing might be too daunting for some. The script I'm talking about might be easier for them to use. I mean even the a complete newbies know how to push a button, right?

I love that domain. Good pick

  • Good Lord Yan, I'm always amazed at all things you have going on and still be the most active commenter on the net. I see you everywhere. I didn't even know you had that site.

That's very kind of you to share that with me. I actually own JustAskSomeone.com which is parked right now. I figure if it takes off I'll branch it off as it's own site.

I was considering getting rid of the whole voice mail thing and finding something different. It just seems too sloppy the way it is now. Thank you :)
  • In my spirit? Couldn't take credit for that. I guess, putting our readers first should high in our priority list.

By the way, Brian.... check out FAQ-tastic script. The one I'm using here

It could probably be what you might need....

  • Hi Sheryl, sounds exciting. Just Ask Someone hasn't really taken off yet but we'll see how it goes.
  • Hey Brian,
    What a cool idea!
I will defiantly be watching to see how this goes.
Once I get our new project all hooked up I will be wanting to talk to you about another way that maybe we can put one of my ideas into play with this. I'll work it around in my head & see how we can be sure to get some great answers for you.
Ok, now my head is spinning!
  • Thanks Ben, I like your traffic and will gratefully accept all that you can send :)
  • Brian!

  • Hi Robin, I'm new to podcasts. I want to allow visitors to record their voice without sending an audio file. If you know of a way to do that I would love to know. The problem with the voice mail is that it's limited to the United States.
  • This is a pretty neat idea. If you intend on recording voices you should try doing a podcast or something. That would be very interesting to watch.

  • Glad I could help. :)

Actually I see far too many good bloggers sued over really dumb things.

<abbr>Dennis Edells last blog post..How Do You Check For Incoming Links?</abbr>
  • You're absolutely right Dennis. I need to get some terms up there. I also need to state that on the voice mail recording. Good look out :)
  • Great idea! You are asking permissions to use the recorded voices, right?

    Hey, ya never know...

  • My pleasure Shanker. I've been so busy with everything else I almost forgot about the idea. I'll work more on it this weekend.
  • Much Appriciated, hope many will benefit from it. Thanks brian for giving us opportunity to ask.
