Derren Brown Looks At Subliminal Advertising…

I just ran across this YouTube video that I originally blogged about on another site last year. It’s two years old and I’m still just blown away when I watch it. Derren Brown takes two guys who work in the advertising industry and tests their influences from Subliminal Advertising. If you are not familiar with Derren Brown he’s truly an amazing and interesting person. You can find many hours of him on YouTube. I thought I’d share this Subliminal Advertising video with you. Get ready to be impressed…

He is just something else. Is he a magician or an illusionist?

Hi Paul, I’m not sure which to call him but I’m impressed with him.

That’s a great point to bring up. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don’t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game if you are commenting as an individual.

    WOW,

that was really amazing. When I saw it for the first time, it was just blown away. But it makes perfect sense.
Its true how we are surrounded by it all day every day.

Its not just the normal tv/poster advertising that affect us.

    Nice one!

You can see how embarrassed the first guy was, and yeah, the other guy was like “it’s not a biggie,” and when Derren Brown left, he was like “that can’t be!”
