image - connections are good I fully expect this short little post to end up as one of the more popular ones on Extreme Ezine. Today I was reading a friend’s blog, Keith from HotBlogTips.com, and he has a YouTube video on one of his posts, Linking Out For SEO. Cool, another connection. I went to YouTube and subscribed and added Keith as a friend. Yesterday I made a few Twitter friends (followers) and I noticed by visiting their sites that a couple of them have Facebook accounts. I added them as friends there as well. The same with blogs I visit, I try to subscribe.

I always visit blogs and sites from those that comment here and I usually find myself looking for other connections. So I thought, why not just ask. So I am asking, do you have other connections you would like to share? Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Blogs or whatever. Feel free to list them in your comment (not dozens please, a hand full is fine). Hopefully everyone will follow each other and our community can grow even bigger from it.

BTW, connections are not sales pages, squeeze pages, niche sites or anything like that.

If there has been any inconvenience with DM from Twitter I do apologize. I don't work twitter has hard as some of the other networks and quite frankly forgot about it.

I don't know if it was your Twitter DMs, I think you have an auto reply on your email or something. I have no idea what it was replying to but I was getting dozens of emails each day. It has stopped now.

I follow quite a few 'strangers' on twitter but I only add my 'offline contacts' on facebook. I think these social networking sites are meant to be an online mirror of your 'real' social circle/network. I subscribe to more than 50 feeds including TC, Mashable and boingboing but I won't add their writers to my facebook :)

Yes Brian we have feeds, and if you have a recent post in the blog Co-Op you can put the URL in to the index page and comment love works. So a Back-link or two at a new post is easy.

The feeds are not as workable on the admin side as I would like but when I put the face lift on the Guild I will be addressing that issue. It is the only reason I haven't started a Members only area, Kind of a moot point if all the info goes out on the feeds.

Now where do the feeds go this would be a question for Sheryl Loch she spent the better part of two weeks hooking them up to go places I'm sure I have never been. There is a thread started in the bottom of the co_op with rss info in it.

There only a couple out of the 20 we have. smile!

As far as subscribing to the feeds on that the ultimate success site I was never really worried about it too much, If you are using FireFox there should be a little rss deal after the url on the top right hand side of the display box. Sorry dude My mind is blank trying to think of the name of it! wow! I am also thinking of doing the Ultimate and the PA sites over also.

Brian, try using the Wibiya toolbar at the bottom of the page. You should see the feed link there. I'm glad you mentioned this, maybe I should put another higher up on the page.

Yep, got it Ileane. It didn't seem to work at first but the proper page came up after a couple clicks. I would still add a RSS feed button/icon at the top somewhere, just friendly advice :)

Linking for SEO is good but placing links on ANY web page is not SEO. Let me explain you...

You know that I'm in ezine advertising field. If I get a backlink from a page about ezine advertising, that's good for SEO. If I place my link on a blog about pets, or on a page where there are many & various topics, other than ezine advertising, that's worthless for SEO.

Content is king but when it comes to SEO ... CONTEXT is king too ;-)
