The same here Peter. In fact, I have to say that changing to a blog format has improved our relationship with many of our subscribers. The invisible names on a list turned into sites I visit, blogs to comment on and I've even found a couple of great deals.

I made new online relationships, and good friends through blog commenting. I think this allows at least some form of interaction in this otherwise impersonal world we called Internet Marketing.

Excellent points. New bloggers have no idea how this works. I certainly didn't, and it's good to be reminded. Thanks all.

Oh ya, I could hardly keep up with all the response on this blog, Brian.

I thought you might want to consider having 'Subscribe to Comments' option for us to be informed of the latest comments. It's that little thing that might keep your readers coming back for more.

Just my thoughts...

I could agree with you more on the power of online relationship. Speaking of which I wouldn't have discovered your blog (and joining your contest as well :-)) if you have never drop a comment on my site a while ago. That's the true testament to the benefit of blog commenting.

Thanks Yan. You must be referring to 'How to Win Friends and Influence People'. I've read it several times. A classic that will never be outdated. Online relationships will make or break our online businesses.

If there is one thing I learn early in blogging is to network hard by commenting on blogs of similar niche.

Not only it's good for SEO and blog traffic, more importantly I can build online relationship with fellow bloggers too.

BTW, that book by Dale Carnegie is one of the best book I've read a long time ago.

Good point David. I was reading a post by Collin of Feed Flare and he mentioned that even John Chow takes the time to comment on other blogs.
